有結他之神稱號的Jeff Beck最近來港獻技，看過的朋友均讚不絕口，認為確神乎其技。配合其環球巡迴演出，Jeff趁勢推出新作《Emotion & Commotion》，這是他七年來面世的首張大碟，果然沒有令人失望。Jeff在選曲方面搞了點新意思，不但彈奏了電影《綠野仙蹤》的經典歌曲《Over The Rainbow》，還玩了男高音Pavarotti的首本名作《Nessun Dorma》，難得的是都有板有眼，技驚四座。《Never Alone》以一段優美抒情的旋律揭開序幕，接着下來是排山倒海的音符，Jeff再度發揮出其橫掃千軍的搖滾獨奏魅力。

《I Put A Spell On You》本是五十年代一首名曲，Jeff請來女歌手Joss Stone重唱，懷舊味道撲面而來。Jeff的彈奏恍如人聲，畢竟他是用結他來歌唱的。

　　Beck recorded Emotion And Commotion late last year at Sarm Studios in London with award-winning producers Steve Lipson and Trevor Horn. To create the album s perse sound, Beck used a number of musicians, including appearances by frequent collaborators Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Jason Rebello (keyboards), and Tal Wilkenfeld (bass). The album also includes contributions from a trio of singers: Imelda May ('Lilac Wine'), Olivia Safe ('Elegy For Dunkirk'), and Grammy-winner Joss Stone ('I Put A Spell On You' and 'There s No Other Me')
