Steven Curtis Chapman是CCM得奖之王、歌坛巨星Steven Curtis Chapman，曾连创7张全美专辑榜冠军，并得到4座葛莱美最佳专辑大奖的肯定。在1995年出版的 Music of Christmas 专辑中和CeCe Winans合唱的圣诞新创曲 Christmas in All in the Heart，在当时创下排行榜佳绩。他的前一张专辑两年前曾经进入过Billboard 200排行榜的前20名，2002年的 All About Love 在发行之后以5万1千张的销量名列排行榜的第12位。
Steven和妻子是Shaohannah's Hope（“乔安娜的希望”是以他们收养的第一个女儿Shaohannah的名字命名）孤儿事工创办人,这个组织为希望进行国际领养的家庭提供咨询帮助和基金支持，并为中国的孤儿呼吁。Steven和妻子在中国领养了三个孩子Shaohannah，Stevey Joy, and Maria Sue。这三个孩子给Steven一家带来了无穷的欢乐和祝福，并真正地融入了家庭，成为不可缺少的一份子。
2006年Steve曾在北京拉菲特城堡酒店举办了一次儿童希望慈善晚宴，Steven对中国和中国的孤儿有着特殊的感情，身为歌手，最大的报答方式就是和中国的人民来分享他的音乐。真正打动人的音乐是无国界的，Steven把他在生活中所经历的美好、感动和祝福化为旋律和歌声，为更多的人带来快乐和幸福。Steven Curtis Chapman也极其热心于儿童的慈善事业，他近些年来一直为了孤儿的福利事业奔走于全世界。
