Nadine Loren’s new album, Naked 80’s is off the charts. She brings a mix of alternative, indie, and pop music to an array of classic songs from the 1980s.
We’ve seen many covers of famous songs and we’ve seen many cover albums. The thing that is so interesting and creative about Naked 80’s is that it is one artist devoting an entire album to a decade. This is so revolutionary.
She sings ‘Boys of Summer’ by Don Henly, ‘Love Bites’ by Def Leppard, ‘More Than This’ by Roxy Music, ‘Wouldn’t It Be Good’ by Nik Kershaw, ‘Blame It On The Rain’ by Milli Vanilli and so much more.
She takes an alternative spin on all of these songs by making them her own. When one listens to any of the renditions of these classics it is easy to forget who made them so popular. She does such a good job of making the song seem like her own creation from beginning to the end.
