Dave Matthews Band，美国知名摇滚乐队，由Dave Matthews和Stefan Lessard、Leroi Moore、Boyd Tinsley和Carter Beauford五人组成。主唱Dave Matthews是上世纪九十年代之后美国涌现出的极具实力的新一代摇滚乐男歌手，在90年代之后的美国摇滚乐界具有重要的地位。第八张录音室专辑《Away from the World》是继上张专辑以来暌违三年的新作，9月11日发行后便迅速登上美国Itunes专辑榜的冠军位置。专辑名出自新歌《The Riff》里的歌词“Sitting in a box / away from the world out there”，按照Matthews的解释是，“we are born and die alone and that our body is our box.”此外，新专辑由制作人Steve Lillywhite亲自操刀，这也是自98年发行的《Before These Crowded Streets》以来的首次 。
