       Darren Hayes，1972年5月8日生于澳大利亚布里斯班。23岁时遇到Daniel Jones，组成风靡全世界的演唱组合Savage Garden（野人花园）。Savage Garden在全盛时期解散，之后Darren Hayes继续个人的音乐事业，并成立了个人音乐厂牌Powdered Sugar。
       继2007年的《This Delicate Thing We've Made》大碟后，Darren Hayes 第4张大碟《Secret Codes and Battleships》终于发行了。 在制作这张专辑之前，Darren Hayes还在为其他歌手写歌，后来他意识到这些歌都适合他自己演唱，在2009年，他宣布要发行新专辑。Darren Hayes找来了瑞典有名的制作人Walter Afanasieff，专辑由Robert Orton混音。首单Talk Talk Talk于2011年6月24日发行，他的丈夫Richard导演了这首歌的MV。2单Black Out the Sun于10月2日开载。
