Fans of weepy balladeer, occasional semi-ironic pop star and karaoke legend Jewel have cause for celebration: The singer-songwriter announced that she’s readying a greatest hits collection, due out February 5, with a few additional surprises beyond her weighty catalogue of hits.

She tells Billboard that she’s currently trying to narrow down a new song to include on the compilation — trying to pick between the “dark and poetic” song “Two Hearts Breaking” and a “pop and fun” track titled “Dance Sing Laugh Love.” According to Jewel, though, both may end up making the tracklist: “Knowing me I’ll put them both on and work out the publishing stuff on my end rather than choose between them,” she said.

But if Jewel’s catalogue leaves you wanting, she’s teaming up with a megawatt star on a new rendition of an old favorite — Kelly Clarkson, who has been known to cover “Foolish Games” live in concert, will appear on a duet version of the iconic ’90s chart-topper. “I’m such a fan of her voice and love what she added to the song. She was so effortless on it. It’s neat to hear it in her new light,” Jewel said.

Additionally, Pistol Annies will provide vocals on a new version of “You Were Meant For Me.” It’ll be good to have those Pieces of You singles refreshed; we’re long overdue for a new soundtrack for ugly-crying in the dark. Jewel’s greatest hits drops on February 5.
