“Uptown Special” is the upcoming fourth studio album by English record producer, musician and deejay Mark Ronson. It’s scheduled to be released on January 27, 2015 via Sony Music Entertainment.
It comes preceded by the lead funky-inspired single “Uptown Funk” featuring Bruno Mars, premiered on November 10th. The LP is the follow-up to 2010’s “Record Collection” and will be inspired by Ronson’s early days as a DJ.
He teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Jeff Bhasker to create the album in New York, London, Memphis and Los Angeles studios.
Another track from the album called “Daffodils” was premiered on November 11th. The song has the guest vocals of Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker. He’s on a few songs on the album.
