伍迪哈勒尔森与韦斯利斯奈普斯再度搭档，饰演一个收养家庭的异姓兄弟，他们都在纽约地下铁车站担任警卫，因而对车次与地形十分熟悉。为人正真的黑人哥哥约翰不但机警勇敢，而且赢得美人垂青；白人弟弟查理却是贪心鲁莽的赌徒，最后更决定抢劫解款车，约翰不得不跟他周旋。
