floydflush: This great quadraphonic Tull sampler was announced but never released. Now it is finally unearthed... So this here is home-made of course. This is a mix of original quadraphonic tracks (where available) with my own upmixes. For the latter I used Plogue for a basic quadraphonic soundfield but mixed the several channels manually then to fit them with the 4 original quad tracks. For channel balance, soundfield, character and volumes I took the original quad track "Aqualung" as the reference. So for the upmixes I took mostly the MFSL versions 'cause they are more "vinyl-like" too.
Vol.2: Beside Cross-Eyed Mary from Aqualung (taken from ArmyOfQuad's superb edition) I used better sources for all other tracks then on Vol.1: War Child was taken from the RQR quad DVDA release but slightly remixed. The remaining tracks were upmixed with Plogue in a first step and manually remixed then. 3 tracks are edits only as on the original LP but the first edit Minstrel is an alternate too - it has the same length but starts as the original track begins! The upmixed tracks were remixed to fit them with the two original quad tracks.
