In the summer of 1972, for the very first time before television cameras in Budapest, appeared 3 girls and 5 boys; ever since then they have remained the focus of attention within the spell-bound studios of the world. As with many other performers of rock-music their careers have been established, thanks to television. Later, in concerts, they won over the hearts of the, ever since then, loyal public, and with records strengthened their highranking position. Time and again the press wrote of the many countries and many thousands of listeners they performed in front of, and also of the many times they appeared before the television cameras.
To recall some facts: "General" have received a Gold Disc for every LP. they have issued (the groups records are sold in seven countries) "General" were the first group from a socialist country to top hit-parade in a western country-namely Holland.
Among the many popular Hungarian groups in Poland "General" is the first to have recorded an L.P. for the Polish Recording Company. On this record, as well as songs recorded in Warsaw, is the chart-hit made famous in Western Europe.
