The three "Audio Guide To The Alan Parsons Project" LPs are an auto-coupled release:
- LP1: sides 1 and 4 (A and D)
- LP2: sides 2 and 5 (B and E)
- LP3: sides 3 and 6 (C and F)

The albums included are I Robot (1977), Eve (1978), Pyramid (1979), The Turn of a Friendly Card (1980), and Eye in the Sky (1982).
Also included is the three-disc "Guide to the Alan Parsons Project" program, which combines album excerpts and interviews with Alan Parsons & Eric Woolfson.
This content is intended to be the basis of a "do it yourself" radio program, with the original two discs'-worth of material from the 1979 box "The Alan Parsons Projects"
(box cat# SP-68) being supplemented by new content covering the 1980 and 1982 albums.
Although these three records are very similar to the two in the 1979 box, on this release they are easily distinguished by their 1982 copyright dates.
The 5 APP albums included are regular stock copies but all have cut corners at the bottom but have no promotional stamps or markings.
The box may also have a sticker with the Arista logo and the text "DJ Copy / Loaned for Promotion Only / Not For Sale / Ownership and All Rights Reserved". (see photo)
Artists are not listed on the three "Guide to the Alan Parsons Project" discs.
