The audio was captured at 192/32-bit (float)
All pops & clicks were removed manually in Audition. No EQ or NR has been added.
Sample rate conversion to 96kHz and down-converting to 24-bit audio was accomplished via iZotope RX Advanced

О виниле и трансфере
This time around I did some exploring of Wings’ debut LP, “Wild Life”. I originally started this
project expecting to transfer a sealed US pressing that I’d acquired. Unfortunately that LP, as
well as a handful of other US pressings, was pressed on vinyl that was quite noisy. There may
be nice, “dead quiet” US pressings out there somewhere, but I haven’t stumbled upon one yet.
So I ventured out into the imports. I picked up a Japanese pressing on black vinyl (EPS – 80233).
Upon auditioning the LP I discovered that, while the quality of vinyl was definitely better, it
was excessively bright.
I eventually came across the Toshiba red vinyl pressing that’s presented here. Knowing how nice
the quality of the Japanese red wax is from my “All Things Must Pass” experience I couldn’t resist
picking this up. Prior to starting this project, I wasn't even aware that this LP had been
released on red vinyl. After setting the needle down on this LP I found that the red wax once again
was proving itself to be as quiet as I’d hoped for. I also had fears that the same bright mastering
may have been used for this red wax pressing as was on the Japan black vinyl pressing. I was very
pleased to find a totally different, and appealing, mastering.
