When Mercyful Fate split-up, King Diamond established this band, followed by Michael Denner and Timi Hansen. In the early '90s, Mercyful Fate reunited and were the support band to King Diamond in 1996, so King went on stage twice at each gig.

King's wife Livia Zita performs additional vocals for the band, both on record and onstage.
