Об альбоме (сборнике)
Beautiful and fierce Kempe's only "fantasy symphony". End of recording with the Berlin Philharmonic
The overwhelming masterpiece recorded in '59 was converted into SACD for the first time!
Planned for 40 years after the death of Rudolf Kempe (1910-'76). One of the best records of both, a miraculous fusion of German neatness and trembling beauty. The old sound of the old EMI sound source Kempe and the finest sound of the Berlin Philharmonic are reproduced on SACD. It is reminiscent of the appearance of a king who shines in the dim light. For this reprint, mastering was performed separately for the SACD layer and the CD layer separately, using a master digitized at 96kHz / 24bit from the master in the home country. It is a permanent storage board. Kempe and the Berlin Philharmonic recorded sessions from 1955 to '60, leaving 26 sources. There are also recordings such as Tchaikovsky and Smetana, but most of them are occupied by Germans and Austrians, and this "Fantastic Symphony" may be called a recording outside the lineup. This song was recorded the year before Brahms: Symphony No. 3 recorded in January 1960, the last recording of the combination. For Kempe, who originally had few French performances, it is not clear why he chose "Fantastic Symphony" for recording with the Berlin Philharmonic, but as a result, this recording, which showed the beauty of Kempe thoroughly, is just valuable. Beyond the board, it can be said that it became a memorable performance as a masterpiece that sharply touched the essence of the song. With this reprint, the sound quality has been improved and the outline has been firm. Kempe's sincere music making that emerges further enhances this performance. Please enjoy the art of Kempe and Berlin Philharmonic revived with clear sound quality. In this reprint, the commentary by Daisuke Hirose has been newly stored. In this series, the SACD layer allows you to enjoy a high resolution and rich sound field with a stretched high range and soft nuances, and the CD layer allows you to enjoy a real tone that is pushed out together with a solid sound.
