Maybe it's because of the explosion of DIY club nights that cross over with DIY gigs, because Leeds is so small it's easy to be a part of and involved in multiple scenes and be influenced by that. Maybe it was when Hookworms had a baby with Blacklisters and and gave birth to bands like Cattle, ZoZo, Bronzed and Thank. Whatever the catalyst, Thank's 'Sexghost Hellscape' EP feels like an apex in this particular evolutionary leap.
