Notes author:
This is quite an early stereo LP (1959), and the notes state that there was a mono and stereo recording made - implying that two different recording processes were undertaken: either separate recordings (!), or two sets of equipment used simultaneously. Although it could be simply referring to the different mastering processes for mono and stereo, for a public not yet familiar with the concept.
The state of the vinyl was better than on the Nutcracker Suite - still a lot of clicks, but not so worn in the grooves.
The tracks are banded very unclearly on the vinyl, with the quieter sections forming rather a striped pattern, and from the record label, it looks as if it is meant to be presented as one unbanded continuous track. I've separated the tracks according to the back cover's contents list - there was a clear silence between each section.
