This is a rip of Teruo Nakamura's 1976 album, "Rising Sun," released on Polydor (PD-1-6097). The vinyl is in VG+ condition and plays well.
Equipment and process:
Record cleaned with a Spin Clean prior to ripping.
Equipment used: Rega Planar 2 with the GrooveTracer subplatter and a modified RB300 tonearm that incorporates better cables (and a ground wire), on an isolation sandbox. I used a Denon DL-110 cartridge. The sound is routed through a Musical Fidelity X-LPS phono stage to an E-Mu 0202 USB ADC, and then to my laptop via USB using the ASIO driver for the E-Mu ADC.
24/96 was captured in Audacity and output as a single 24-bit WAV file.
I did two passes of de-clicking in Izotope RX 2 Advanced: a very low level auto de-clicking across the entire album (M-band random clicks at 1.0 strength), followed by manual de-clicking as needed.
I imported the 24-bit WAV file from RX 2 Advanced back into Audacity, where I normalized the file (Remove any DC offset checked and normalize maximum amplitude to -0.1 dB), split the tracks and output the resulting files as 24/96 FLAC. I then cleaned up the tags in foobar2000.
Enjoy!

Об альбоме (сборнике)
Based in New York since 1964, Teruo Nakamura is a japanese producer, multi-instrumentalist & jazz bassist, mainly known as a great performer of Fusion Jazz. Recorded at A&R Studio, New York City, Rising Sun is his second studio album as a leader featuring the distinguished guest, the organist Dr Lonnie Smith !! Teruo has recruited for the nonce, some prestigious local musicians such as Steve Grossman, Carter Jefferson or Harry Whitaker, all members of his 'The Rising Sun Band', formed with the guitarist Shiro Mori. Rising Sun is a typical album of Jazz Funk played in the pure Herbie Hancock or Headhunters style, including samba beats (Rising Sun), electronic grooves (Red Shoes) & even reggae flavor with Sweet Pea & Collard Greens.
