О релизе
Widely praised by critics, Building The Perfect Beast was released by Don Henley in November of 1984. It would eventually go 3x Platinum and peaked at #13 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 1989, the album was ranked No. 73 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of the The 100 Greatest Albums of the 1980s. One of the songs from the album, "The Boys of Summer" became one of Henley's most popular songs, as well as winning the 1985 Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
