Melanie Jayne Chisholm（也被称为Melanie C或是Mel C）是一位英国的创作型歌手，也曾是举世闻名的五人合唱团Spice Girls（辣妹）的其中一名成员，那时她被称呼成Spoty Spice。在Spice Girls解散后单飞，她现在已经推出过了四张专辑，还曾在全英音乐奖和ECHO（德国的音乐奖）中被提名。
Melanie在学生时代一直是个成绩十分优秀的学生。
Melanie在大学的时候回复了一个登在周报The Stage上的广告，登这份广告的人Chris Bob Herbert当时正在找人成立一个可以媲美Take That的女子新组合，这个组合就是后来的Spice Girls（Chris Herbert更是成为了Spice Girls的首位经纪人）。她离开大学时，已几乎完成了三年的课程并且还取得了ISTD旗下Tap and Modern Theatre Dance的任教资格。
