11 How Fortunate the Man With None (09:15)Об альбоме: "Into The Labyrinth", вышедший в свет в сентябре 1993 года, ознаменовал смену музыкальных ориентиров дуэта. Альбом был полностью записан силами Брендана и Лизы, без помощи сессионных музыкантов. Перри говорил об этой работе так: "Мы записываем альбомы, потому что нам всё еще нужно изгнать многих демонов. Мы наслаждаемся целебной природой сочинения музыки и хотим передать эту радость людям". Отойдя от средневекового звучания двух предыдущих работ, Dead Can Dance двинулись в сторону world music. Музыканты использовали этнические инструменты, множество разной перкуссии. Дуэт обращался как к ближневосточной музыке, так и к ирландскому фолку; есть и отсылки к Греции – альбом назван в честь легенды о Тесее и Минотавре, и эта история вдохновила часть материала. Впрочем, фирменные оркестровки Dead Can Dance тоже никуда не делись. Кстати, этот альбом содержит пару сюрпризов-загадок для поклонников Joy Division: в двух песнях цитируются строчки из текстов этой группы. "Into The Labyrinth" получил уже традиционно восторженные отзывы: к этому моменту Dead Can Dance достигли такого уровня, что каждая их работа становилась выдающимся музыкальным произведением.
