Transit is an American emo band from Boston, Massachusetts. They have been active since 2006 and have released three albums, two EPs, one single, and a split EP with Man Overboard. They take influence from bands such as Saves The Day, Death Cab For Cutie, American Football, Fairweather, and Hot Water Music. The band's sound has transformed from straight pop punk on their early releases to a more emo/indie sound. Transit is currently signed to Rise Records alongside such bands as Man Overboard, Piebald, and Hot Water Music. In 2011, Listen & Forgive reached No. 9 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and No. 40 on the Independent Albums chart. Their latest album Young New England reached No. 4 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and No. 40 on the Independent Albums chart. They were featured on Warped Tour 2012 on the Ernie Ball Stage.
