蠢朋克樂隊，Daft.Punk，其他譯名：傻瓜朋克、蠢朋克。 Daft Punk
是一隻法國雙人組合樂隊。成員是Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (生於1974.2.8) 和Thomas Bangalter
(生於1975.1.3)。這對雙人組合是一隻又叫好又叫座的電子樂隊。 Guy-Manuel 和Thomas Bangalter 開始組建的樂隊叫Darlin'
（當時還有一名成員Laurent Brancowitz ），是一個吉它樂風格的樂隊.

Daft.Punk
英國一音樂雜誌《Melody Maker》譏笑他們是一群受到The Beach Boys
影響的蠢朋克。他們2人後來放棄了那種“獨立搖滾”的風格，轉而使用鼓機和合成器，而且為了諷刺那位編輯就將樂隊名起為蠢朋克。（這即是Daft Punk
名字的由來，不過大家不要被名字誤導了， Daft Punk
其實是一隻電子舞曲樂隊。）1993年他們錄製了一盤小樣送往蘇格蘭的Soma廠牌，這張小樣奠定了他們處女單曲“The New
Wave”的基礎。
接下來一年他們的成名單曲“Da
Funk”出爐，這首單曲也在他們97年的首張專輯《Homework》中。首張專輯被認為是庫房舞曲、酸庫房舞曲、科技舞曲和電子樂的融合創新。（注：一般認為電子樂跟舞曲最大的區別是適合室內欣賞，通常情況下具有比舞曲更豐富的旋律。）此張專輯也被廣泛認可為90年代最具影響力的舞曲專輯之一。
“Around the World”是此輯裡面最成功的一首歌，特色是裡面反复“吟唱”標題並且其MV（Michel Gondry
執導）也很獨特。
《Homework》的MV合輯1999年發行，叫DAFT--a story about Dogs,Androids,Firemen
and Tomatoes（一個關於狗、機器人、消防員和番茄的故事）.
01年的《Discovery》把喜歡《Homework》的樂迷弄的暈頭轉向，因為這張專輯是一張風格很明顯不同於第一張專輯的合成器流行樂。樂隊聲稱在這張專輯中他們試圖表現出兒童的那種喜玩、開放、富於探索（Discovery）精神的狀態。他們大量運用七八十年代的採樣來表現他們這種想法.
03年樂隊在他們在兒時英雄Leiji
Matsumoto 的指導下製作了動畫《Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem》。
《Daft Club》也一同發行為動畫助陣，這張專輯收錄了很多以前僅在網上會員俱樂部才有的混音單曲。
05年《Human After
All》專輯發行，這張包括10首歌、時長45分鐘的專輯僅僅花了6週的時間就錄製完畢。評論的反應褒貶不一，多數人認為裡面的反复太長了，並且也有點急沖衝的。他們最早提及這張專輯的時候是這樣說的“we
believe that Human After All speaks for
itself”--“我們相信人類終究還是要為自己說話的”。
06年4月4日Daft Punk 的CD/DVD選集《Musique Vol. 1
1993-2005》發布，限量版裡面有兩個Daft Punk 機器人公仔。
06年5月22日Daft Punk
在嘎納電影節上展出了他們執導的首部電影《Daft Punk's
Electroma》。他們破天荒地沒有使用自己製作的音樂。（因為在之前的動畫和短片都是自己的音樂。）目前他們沒有計劃將此電影發行VHS/DVD.
