当地时间2011年10月20日星期四，成立14年的爱尔兰流行组合西城男孩（Westlife）在官网发布了解散声明。
2012年告别巡回演唱会后，尼基-伯恩（Nicky Byrne）、尚恩-费兰（Shane Filan）、马克-菲海利（Mark Feehily）和奇恩-伊根（Kian Egan）四位成员将正式各奔东西，各自开始新的历程。为答谢各位乐迷，Westlife将官方发布14年来的经典专辑《Greatest Hits》
据了解, 这张全新专辑精选集将收录Westlife18首经典热门单曲, 其中包括了冠军单曲 Swear It Again 以及备受乐迷喜爱的 Flying Without Wings 以及 Uptown Girl. 值得一提的是, Westlife上月刚刚发布了乐队的最新主打单曲 Lighthouse, 这支单曲由英国 X Factor 的评委Take That成员Gary Barlow亲自创作.
此外, 该专辑还将收录Beautiful World, Wide Open以及Last Mile of the Way等新歌. 而这张专辑也是Westlife离开英美选秀节目毒舌评审Simon Cowell自设厂牌Syco Music后, 投身索尼旗下RCA品牌唱片发行的首张专辑.
这张全新专辑收录的主打单曲Lighthouse将计划在11月14日正式发行, 而整张专辑 Greatest Hits将在11月21日正式面世. 此后, 乐队将进入为期两年的休整期.
