JLS是2008年的选秀大赛“X Factor”的亚军。他们的首支单曲《Beat Again》在上榜第一周就实现了开门红，空降冠军。成为英国UK单曲2009第29周的冠军。 　
　
去年12月，JLS组合是第五季The X Factor大赛的亚军，在获得亚军之后，他们并没有与评委、选秀界大鳄西蒙-科维尔(Simon Cowell)的Syco Music签约，而是选择了Epic公司旗下的SME。今年春天，JLS组合一直在担任英国R&B歌手Lemar的巡演暖场嘉宾。 根据英国排行榜官方的统计数字显示，在上市第一周，这首《Beat Again》的销量达到了10万张，是那年英国唱片市场上市第一周销量最高的单曲。


British boy band JLS — short for Jack the Lad Swing — are best known for placing second behind winner Alexandra Burke on the fifth season of the reality talent show The X Factor in 2008. Featuring the vocal talents of Oritsé Williams, Aston Merrygold, Jonathan Gill, and Marvin Humes, JLS formed in London in 2007.
