This Mendelssohn CD contains two of his most classic works, his Violin Concerto in E Minor and A Midsummer Night's Dream - Incidental Music. His Violin Concerto is played by virtuoso Leland Chen who plays it superbly with excellent backing by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Jane Glover as conductor. Glover then conducts the RPO in a fine version of the Incidental Music to A Midsummer Night's Dream. Both works are recorded in Super-Audio digital sound which really enhances the soloist and orchestra to great effect. In particular, the strings are quite striking throughout the Incidental Music to A Midsummer Night's Dream, especially in the Overture. I would say the Overture is as good as any great version out there. A must buy for Mendelssohn fans. 曲目列表：
