George Fenton很擅长这种诙谐幽默的浪漫轻喜剧，比如后来的《电子情书 You've Got Mail》，他总是能用优美动人的爵士风格配乐带给你快乐和感动。Fenton的另一个特点就是能够把许多经典的既有歌曲很好的和配乐融合。比如这次爵士天王Ray Charles的“You Don't Know Me”，Nat King Cole的“Almost Like Being in Love”等等，你还可以听到几首非常不错的古典音乐，比如柴科夫斯基的《四重奏 Quartet No.1 in D》，莫扎特的《C大调奏鸣曲 Sonata in C》，当然最出色的要算是拉赫玛尼诺夫的《帕格尼尼主题狂想曲 Paginini Theme》的变奏版本，这在影片中是由Phil弹奏的，试想想昨天还是一个自私自大令人生厌的家伙，今天就风度翩翩行云流水的弹奏一首首名曲，又怎能不让人女士们心动^^ 影片的高潮也就出现在此桥断，当你忍俊不止的时候又禁不住要为Phil叫好。
影片中的音乐处处流露出幽默和睿智，比如每天清晨广播中的那首“I've Got You Babe”，想想每天6点被这首歌叫醒，谁会不想自杀呢？George Fenton的这部作品最大的成功便是融合，他把爵士与古典，幽默与浪漫紧密地结合在一起，就好像Phil弹奏的那一曲变奏，行云流水美妙绝伦。
