一个叫做迈洛（Milo）的船王奴隶爱上了船王的女儿，梦想着有一天能够赎回自由身迎娶心上人。然而迈洛没有料到，就在他被卖给那不勒斯另一名奴隶主的同时，他的心上人也被许配给一个腐败的罗马议员。这时维苏威火山爆发了，迈洛不顾生命危险回到庞贝想救出心上人和被困在竞技场的角斗士好友。

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (the Resident Evil franchise), the big-budget visual epic tells the story of Milo (Kit Harington) a slave turned gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love, who has been betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts, he must fight to save his beloved as Pompeii crumbles around him.The soundtrack features an epic and heart pumping score by acclaimed composer Clinton Shorter, famous for his amazing music for the sci-fi classic, District 9.
