　　弗朗西丝·梅尔斯(黛安·莲恩)，35岁，离婚，她曾经是一位作家和诗人，但是却因为婚姻失败的打击而无心创作，心灰意冷的她仿佛已经完全失去了的生活热情向往。
　　眼看着日渐憔悴的弗朗西丝一天天机械地打发着生命中剩下的时光，好朋友帕蒂(吴珊卓)实在不忍心了，为了帮助弗朗西丝重新点燃生活的激情，帕蒂为她安排了一次为期十天的旅行，前往位于意大利心脏地带的小城托斯卡尼，希望那里美丽的风光和悠闲生活能够使身心俱疲的弗朗西丝忘记伤痛，重整旗鼓。
　
　　本片原声配乐找来了近年来的兴起的来自加拿大的头号配乐高手Christophe Beck担任，Christophe Beck先前因与此片导演Andrey Wells搭档为电影“Guinevere”配乐而声名大噪，而陆续为“美国派Ⅲ：美国婚礼”、“行骗天下”、“魅力四射”等好莱坞等众多电影担任配乐的大任。
