Hajime Mizoguchi (溝口 肇) is a Japanese cellist & composer. Mizoguchi started playing piano in 1963, at the age of 3, & the cello in 1971. From 1978–1985 he attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts & Music where he majored in violoncello. While at school, he started playing the cello with Japanese pop-singers & working as a studio musician for radio, TV, films, & albums.
Cellist / composer. Born in Tokyo, watching the conductor Karajan on TV and starting a piano from 3 years old, and cello from 11 years old. Graduated from Tokyo College of Music Faculty of Music Faculty of Music in Bunraku Department of Cellology and served as a support member of artists from the age of students, after graduating from college, he studied various recordings for about seven years as a studio musician. When I was 24 years old, I became Mucuti due to a car accident, I begin to compose “music for sleep” to escape from suffering 1986 I debuted from Sony at “Half inch dessert”. Playing and producing activities in a wide range of genres such as classics, pops and rock. The work has many movies and TV program music, the theme song “from the world car window” which has been continuing for more than 27 years is too famous. He also appeared in the Japanese “cigarette” CM “Peace Light”, and I decided to impress that figure and music to many people.
Mizoguchi’s basic is composition and cello performance. He places his own music as “the awakening of the heart” and aims to be a catalyst for inspiration for those who listen. The beauty of cello playing by him, the sound full of its hospitality continues to fascinate many people beyond genre, and has established its own stance in the music scene.
