Aesma Daeva这个名字来源于拜火教的创世纪加启示录-用巴列维文编写成一册名叫《Bundahishn》的神话故事总集，其中记载:”阿里曼在黑暗中最先创造的是邪灵谎言（Mtokht）。为了挑战七种圣灵，他又创造了七种邪灵：恶念(Aka Manah）、变节（Indra）、贪婪（Nanghaithya）、混乱（Saurva）、虚弱（Tawrich）、衰老（Zarich）和狂妄（Aesma Daeva）。这七种邪灵人格化之後，成为拜火教的七大恶神
英国诗人济慈的墓志铭是：Here lies one whose name was written in water。 （这里长眠着一个人，他的名字犹如昙花一现）亦如水流般的音乐流入，我第一次听到Aesma Daeva就是那首如水行云的O Death (Rock Me Asleep)（歌词是亨利8世的第二个妻子在被砍头之前所写），此前我对哥特和交响金属都有些了解Aesma Daeva也是常问其名不听其声，从朋友那里弄来了Here Lies One Whose Name Was Written In Water的拷贝，带上耳机细听，便深陷其中。
一如向来听闻，Aesma Daeva的歌高大，宏伟，诗意，黑暗；词曲皆是如此，因为有NightWish的存在才有这样的阴暗和明亮的对比，同样是歌剧交响金属，单就唱功和配乐Aesma Daeva不弱于NightWish，凄凉哀怨的女声，听来空灵幽怨，配乐如冰河流水，恰配空旷之冷；
但歌词和深意上Aesma Daeva将生死，宗教，狂妄，悲凉；厚重的内容远不是NightWish所能比；其他曲目歌词皆出于约翰·道兰之类的大诗人之手。
