I wasn't sure how this would turn out. I think it's better than I expected, but there are a few minor issues that I will describe.
I don't normally like to keep the intros, but I left most of this one because of the audible voices complaining about people standing up despite having seats. This explains all the noise in the intro of "Out of This World". I was all situated with my recorder and hadn't anticipated standing up. I had to do some adjustment. Sorry. (The "needs to be louder" comment was presumably referring to the music; it certainly wasn't directed at me.) The subsequent cheering is in reference to Robert Smith finally turning around to face the audience.
I edited the encore breaks and outro, as is my preference, but made sure to keep all of Robert's banter. The break between the third and fourth encores is so short, though, that I left that one in.
Everyone in my section suddenly started sitting down in the middle of "The End of the World". (I guess I'm not the only one that doesn't like that song.) At about :42 you can hear the sound noticably change as I too sit down, although there is not any mic handling noise. There is, however, mic handling noise between a few other songs, but very rarely during the songs themselves. I did my best. The audience stood up again in the middle of "A Forest", but you can't really tell when I stood up as well.
Other issues:
Someone near me sneezes in the middle of "Never Enough" (about 1:29 and 1:31).
There is an annoying loud burst of audience cheering during the "Hello?" outro of "Wrong Number" (about 5:18).
There are a lot of guest vocals from the women next to me. Thankfully they are on key and not too loud. However, they are just about always present. They even knew the words to the b-sides.
Lastly, Robert teases a song after "In Between Days", but I cannot tell what it is. I can rarely understand his banter as it is, but after he sings a line or two, he says, "I tell you, Austin's getting to me."

Stunning set by The Cure. This tour has been fantastic, and the show in Englewood CO was no exception. I absolutley love the album Bloodflowers, and that is what we got. Man their shows are LOUD (a great thing!). I would love to catch them again on this tour if possible.I am really happy with this recording through track 30. My batteries went our during The Walk, and I didn't catch it until Let's Go to Bed had started. I had a backup recorder, and turned it on, but it's levels weren't adjusted low enough and got a little distortion. Still really decent on those track too. This is the complete show, however, with a small amount of The Walk, and Let's Go to Bed missing.

Can't remember if I seeded this one or not? I went through the DIMEbot and checked and didn't see anything. Lots of recordings that I'll be putting up that are just sitting on my hard drive.. Some that I haven't worked on in years or didn't transfer. Plus, there has been a slamming amount of Cure torrents, so I thought I would spread some love! Looking back at this tape, this was my brother's first recording! You can read more about it below. Was thankful he grabbed at least one night. I was gutted I couldn't make it due to a wedding. Next time!
I'm looking to help transfer any tapes for people if they need help. Been a boring winter for me and would like to help anywhere I can. Got a two DAT decks that are tanks and a Nakamichi cassette deck. Also looking for any Depeche Mode low gen tapes and obvi NIN tapes. Thanks!

Sadly, I was not able to attend these with my dad and brother because of other events on this weekend. Luckily, they were willing to take my very small rig in to tape the shows. They had floor GA tickets for the weekend and this was my brother’s first attempt at ever taping. I am very grateful that he would take the plunge of recording the sets for me. Sadly, the 2nd night, he forgot to put the M10 out of standby mode and never initiated recording. So all that he got was the end of the show as everyone was piling out! As it goes, the 2nd night was going to sound great from where they stood. My brother liked the 2nd night more, but this set has a lot more of the heavy hitters I enjoy!
Overall, the tape is good. He ran the levels a bit hot but it’s only apparent when someone is screaming next to him. Not saying this tape is perfect, far from it. But it’s definitely an enjoyable tape to listen to! I am glad to have a capture of where my dad and brother were standing for the night. Feels like I was there with them.
If anyone has the 2nd night of Chicago recorded, please get in contact with me. I’d love to give my brother a copy.

It really was fantastic; I am obsessed with Disintegration so this setlist was like a dream. And I hear they change A LOT from night to night. Robert sounded great! And I felt he got sort of emotional - whoever was there should second this or not… Anyway - I was long past-due for some serious Cure-run - and I am overcompensating! OK, this 2nd night, in my view, enters the realm of 'top shows I've experienced' and scores highest of the three MSG nights in terms of just sheer musical coherence and power. What a stunning gig! Robert has been on fire this tour, but just the combination of a setlist here and what he was channeling I think really pushes it to the 'very special' category. The One Hundred Years (with war atrocities projected on the screen) > End main-set closer kinda left me standing with my mouth open pretty much through the encore break. And yes, I think Wish as sort of the main-set envelope works incredibly well.
Taping-wise - much less audience action around me than night 1 (well, a couple making out in front of me for most of the gig - but QUIETLY - that’s what matters, right?
). There were a couple of wrinkles however… let’s just say ‘female+alone’ combination in some weird ways pushes some interactive buttons in random audience members… - but ultimately, there is a universal ‘zip it!!!’ sign and magic powers of BLG mastering

What a fantastic concert. This show was just pure joy. A beautiful tapestry of sound was woven this night at the world's most famous arena and I was lucky enough to be in attendance. My only regret is that I did not attend the first two shows of this three night MSG stand.
This was my 7th show recorded with my trusty Nokia Lumia Icon Windows Phone and, once again, I think the results are rather damn good. The built-in HAAC mics can stand up to 140db without distorting the recording and there are no levels to set. You can't go wrong AND you don't have to worry about sneaking in 'equipment'. Some 'on the fly' splits: after track 04, after, after track 08, after track 12, after track 17, after track 18, all encores. I then used Audacity to split the large WAV files recorded into single tracks. Some drunken comments pre-show (track 00) and post-show (track 33) that you can feel free to delete.

Found this one on the Cure For All blog. I saw my version of this show was up but there was a link to a Matrix version done by X. Dowloaded this version as a 2.5GB 32it/48khz PCM/WAV file (no info file, just the large WAV file). Confirmed that it was a matrix of my recording and the one recorded by Ed Davis and shared by BLG. The metadata on the original file had this info: "Adobe Premier Pro CC 2015 for windows". I would imagine this was used by X to produce this Matrix (I would not even come close to knowing how this is done). Split tracks using Audacity (saved to 16bit/48khz PCM/WAV). Removed a redundant 1min, 59sec bit before track 20 (leaves off a bit of audience but Robert Smith talking isn't repeated). Converted to FLAC (Level 8) using Trader's Little Helper. Some very nice cover art for this show (by jojo) was up on the CFA blog and I've included that. I think the end product sounds rather good. It's interesting at the very least. Let me know what you think.

This is my first attempt at recording, which was inspired by AForestFan at TCC (who was awesome at answeering all my questions). Thanks as well to nausearockpig who agreed to master it and clean things up as required. We were just in front of the soundboard to the left. This was my seventh time seeing them and did not disappoint with a good Disintegration-themed set. The crowd was probably a bit more into the pop songs that they could sing along to. I like the noisy ones you can headbang to and best song for me was One Hundred Years for the power and the visuals. Runners up were It Can Never Be The Same and Disintegration but all of it was great. was great to see the band with Reeves in action as well - he is a great player. Simon was pretty fun to watch too and did laps of the stage to keep us all amused. Total playing time was a hair over three hours not including the encore breaks.
Do whatever you want with it but please do not sell this recording.
NRP notes:
* The feedback outro of From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea merges into the sampled intro of Want. It sounds rad!
There are a few fade outs & ins & small edits to remove any unimportant crowd noise, other than that I didn't do much to what is a very good capture. Biggest thanks to Psychophysio for taping and passing to me to edit. Great stuff bloke!

* I had to do a fair bit of specialsauce tinkering** to the WAV file to get it to a good level. This is because I had the recording volume down fairly low given the show as so loud, my past recording experiences, and the fact that I was sitting about ten metres from a security guard who was facing me the entire time. I did't really have too many chances to check the levels early on so because of that there was some messing around with the input levels right at the beginning of Plainsong. This is evident on the recording but only goes on for about thirty seconds and it is quite forgettable. So sad, too bad, everybody's sorry...
**Amplify overall, split stereo track, amplify right channel to equalise L & R. No EQ or noise reduction was applied. I was going to tweak the treble but after a bit of trial and error, I decided to leave the audio the way it was recorded. If you want more treble, select that on your player, or modify the tracks yourself in your DAW. I don't care.

I was sitting right next to the aisle so people kept coming past me to get drinks and generally do their best to be fuckwits. On quite a few tracks, you will hear some slight dampening of sound as someone passes in front of me. In an effort to minimise sound dampening time, I was pretty quick to get up each time each some stooge needed to get past, but it is there in several spots.
On the night, the drums and bass were so punchy, it was awesome. The mix was excellent, it was awesome. You can hear all the instruments so well, it was awesome. Listen to the the hi-hat cutting through on Fascination Street, it was awesome....
It was great to get a main set that had the Disintegration / Prayer Tour intro of the bells, "Plainsong", "Pictures Of You" and "Closedown", and which ended with "Prayers For Rain" and "Disintegration", though this did confuse a lot of people.
The new song "It Can Never Be The Same" was beautiful and truly excellent. I'd heard it before on the YouTubes and from other places but hearing it live and in person was something else. I can't wait for the studio verson.
"Burn", which was never played live until its first performance in 2013, and has been played on almost every show this tour, was just fantastic. I'm so glad I got to hear it. Reeves' work on "From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea" was great, though his lead differed a lot to that on the album. Similar complaint for the main wah wah melodies in "Never Enough" (the ones Perry would play back in the day): they were absent and this absence really detracted from the song. His playing on "Lullaby" gave the song a Mixed Up feel, as did Roger's keys; great stuff all round.
It was great to hear "Jupiter Crash", "Want", "Bananafishbones" and "The Caterpillar" even though so many in the audience took these songs as another opportunity to talk more, take selfies or head to the bar or toilet... #NotRealFans
The droning outro of "From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea" merged into a great pre-intro to "Want". Rad! "Want" sounded amazing, that long intro and Reeves' guitar wailing was so cool. Jason's many rolls and fills on it are great too.
There is some pocket or recorder bump in "Let's Go To Bed", and some sound fluctuations in "Close To Me" - from stooges going past me.
I am a bit disappointed that 20 of the 35 songs were singles. I have nothing against the singles (except for The Lovecats of course), but surely some b-sides and a couple of rarer album tracks could've been thrown in the mix instead. I realise that the average fan attending would prefer the singles and "popular" songs but some of us are more than just casual fans. I guess it's true that you can't please everyone but #NotRealFans.
I was also disappointed with the way Robert sang a lot of the melodies. For whatever reason he changed the way he sang them which altered the song overall. I know a lot of people might see this as a change for the better, or just as nothing to even think about, or may not have even noticed it, but to me these changes detracted from the songs. Don't be trying to change perfection, just sing it the way you always did.

Don't judge the sound by the first song.
I was in general admission standing, originally about 8 meters away
from the front of the stage but during the first song it became
evident that the mix down there was not good, also was surrounded by
talkative ladies.
So I moved after the end of the first number. Theres about 20 seconds
where I had my back to the stage.
The new position was much better and fortunately the good people in
front of me did not talk at all. Some on the sides whooped
occasionally but hardly ever during songs. Any crowd noise has been
lowered , so unless you are listening on phones it should not be
intrusive.
Great show and once I moved the sound is nice, some of the trippy
guitar heavy songs are a little muddy in parts but its a good show
overall, around 170 minute once I removed the applause for most of the
encores.

According to sources close to the band, they rehearsed approx. 90-100 songs for this tour to be able to play long and unique setlists every night.
Almost 3 hours later and they have nailed each and every song perfectly.
To be honest they could probably have played 3 hours more with no problem.
Although bands like "Guns N Roses" and "U2" might be bigger and "easier-to-access" there is no doubt that one must really respect a band like "The Cure" for doing these long concerts.
The ticket-prices (at least in Stockholm) were really reasonable and quite cheap, but you get much more value for the money than what you got with both "U2" and "G´NR" who painfully stuck to almost the same setlist every night on their last tour´s.
To be fair, "U2" mixed it up quite alot back in 2005 and on the "360 Tour" and "G´N R" even played songs like "Locomotive", "The Garden" and "Back Off B***h" back in 1991/1992. These days not so much. I would sacrifice those big TV-screens and firecrackers for a simple stage-set up anyday, for a more mixed-up setlist(s).
Big credits to "The Cure", who nailed every song with precise excellence, something that even one of my favorite bands "U2" sometimes fail to do.
I also recorded the support-band "The Twilight Sad" who played an impressive support-slot.
Perhaps the best opening-act for the last 10 years of "Arena-Rock-Openers", at least if you ask me.
I´ll share their set later on.
Even though "The Cure" is not my all-time favorite band, yet they´re the one who has always been there during the early 90´s to this day, and I´ve always been impressed by the songcraft in tracks like "Fascination Street", "Pictures Of You" and my all-time favorite of the more obscure songs, "Prayers For Rain", it´s easy to say that they accomplished something of their own. A universe of pure genius of both "hit pop songs" to something that could be described as "Post-Rock" before "Post-Rock"...
An excellent evening that started with an early entrance of 5.30 in the afternoon, and with an 3rd encore that finished just before midnight...never had such an need for a piss after 6 and a half hours of music and waiting
Alright, enough of meaningless banter, enjoy the concert!

The venue is the main arena in Bologna (actually Casalecchio di Reno) formerly known as Futurshow Station and PalaMalaguti
I had a seat at the left of the first level gallery in front of the stage at about 60 m from it
Very quite people around me (except for the third encore, of course...)
The sound of the recording is excellent
Several late arrivers with seats in my raw passed in front of me during Closedown, others left their seats during the first encore break and came back during At Night, resulting in temporary muffled sound in both tracks (30+10 secs)
What about the show?
It was my fourth The Cure show (the others were all in the Milan area in 1992, 2008 and 2012; 2008 and 2012 were also taped)
A very enjoyable concert with an excellent screen and light show quite uncommon for The Cure
A possible "setlist of my dreams" with the "Seventeen Seconds encore", Charlotte Sometimes and also IOTWCS debuting in the European Leg of the 2016 Tour (neglecting 7 pre-1982 tracks!!!... never in this leg)
Happy Birthday to Roger was sung at the end of the first encore break
Technical notes:
- The total running time of the recording was 2:47:06; I have cut the first 52 secs and last useless 24 secs reducing the master to 2:45:50.
- I have amplified (+5.5 dB on the left channel, +4.5 dB on the right channel) and slightly compressed (-12 dB/1.5:1) the whole recording and faded-out the last 10 secs

The concert was very well attended and nearly sold out. Robert and the band were in good form and at the end of the concert Robert was close to tears for the overhelming reaktion of the audience!

AN AMAZING SHOW.
I think it’s well-accepted at this point that Amsterdam got ONE OF THE BEST SETLISTS on this leg - I received countless messages that night starting with ‘FINALLY…’
So I am thrilled that while making these travel plans, I went for Amsterdam over Paris :p Robert seemed to be in a fantastic mood, he spoke a bit about how they always used to come to Amsterdam since way back when
To me personally, this was a very special show at many levels; it was packed with emotions. Was great to queue ‘in a civilized manner’ (all amenities included
) despite miserable weather, was great to see some friends from my nick cave crowd
and meet some new ones! And really, my whole travel was largely made possible by the amazing host bnz!
It was also the last of MY Cure shows this tour - so sad… thanks much to the ‘crowd control’ security guard we chatted with while in queue who surprised me with a setlist in the end!!!!! Picture included.
BNZ’s recording turned out GREAT, I mean… wow. It did, however, require my ‘care and attention’ during some of the better known tracks at the beginning to axe (non-violently) or tone down volunteer contribution from audience members. God, do these folks ever hear what they sound like?! Lol
In the end though - a fantastic record of a great gig!

What an amazing show this was. I enjoyed every moment of it specially the first half when finally i had a chance to listen to some of my favourite tracks live for the first time.The band was in good mood, everybody enjoying the stage. The venue really packed (not sure if it was sold out but if it wasn't was close enough)and the audience was there for them.
I recorded from the second balcony, way up high but it turned out way better than i expected. I thought the sound was good for a venue like that size and i was also in line with the high stacks of the PA and that i believe it helped a bit
no big audience noises during songs. Only Freakshow is cut and i left a 1 second gap in the track because i did not stop recording during encore break and then the recorder did the rendering for the track... still no feeling lost

Hi all - So really: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN MANCHESTER?
For those not ‘in the loop’: the band cut the set short - about 8 tracks shorter than average setlist of the tour with both 1st and 2nd encores limited to just 1 song instead of usual 4-5. This was clearly adjusted ‘in flight’ after the main set - encore breaks are unusually long - almost 3 min each, which never happens - and I would have loved to be a fly on the wall backstage to know what the fuck was going on. The prevalent theories are: crowd (too lame and inactive or too obnoxious?) - Robert’s voice (losing or saving for 3xLondon?) - none are well supported, and I guess we will never know!
Personally, I am always after an ‘unusual’ kind of collectible show
so here it is.
As far as the tape goes: this was kindly recorded by Ericlered who was frustrated enough after the gig (short gig, dull sound, loud floor mates etc…) to just write the tape off. But I asked him to send me the raw filet see what could be potentially done, which he kindly did. So ZH agreed to do general mastering of the recording, and OMG - I could not believe how crisp and sharp and clear the tape has become. Then… well, the audience. This took many nights (I finished at 4AM this morning) - just screams and whistles and chats… I spent a surprising amount of time on encore breaks (!) actually - because… well, they are LONG ENOUGH that you really start listening to people’s screams out of boredom and extended conversations and it seems wrong somehow Lol. The more challenging parts were when these guys attempted singing
Much of it is now gone, I stopped being as obsessive-compulsive toward the end of the last encore because the guys were really doing harmonies at that point (not realizing it - and not bad really!!) - Robert would have been proud
I also felt like asking english Cure fans to not sing during Close to Me or Boys Don’t Cry is kind of like asking Radiohead fans to shut up during Karma Police!
All in all - I am thrilled we have this tape and that it sounds the way it does!! So enjoy! and we can keep guessing what happened…

A decent recording, if a little spoilt in some parts by the idiots who insist on talking through the songs they don’t know or like, and singing loudly and out of tune to the ones they do. Out of this World, Bloodflowers and Step into the Light suffer from the former. The occasional audible coughs are me, I am truly sorry!

Well what can you say, 3 sellout nights at Wembley takes me back to 89 (Prayer tour) and
92 (Wish tour 4 nights at Olympia) for these multiple runs at the end of a tour...
And they didnt disappoint.
Over these 3 amazing shows 94 tracks played, think it something like 56 or 57 different
tracks played.
I am more then happy with how all three of my recordings turned out, Iknow there are other
recordings out there, as Im writing this I have not had a chence to listen to these in
comparison.
Night 2 was probably my favourite trackwise of the 3 as I am a massive Disintergration fan
and took me back to the last night of the Prayer tour here back in 1989, I believe that
was the first time they clocked 3 hours for a show. Was really hoping The Same Deep Water
As You was going to be played to complete the Lp but it wasnt to be. I know some people
say Homesick and Untitled as well but those 2 tracks werent on the VINYL LP, but were
classed as bonus tracks on CD and cassette, remember those?
All these shows need to be turned up loud

After the previous 2 nights, the expectation was for a Wish based setlist and yes we got
Tape-Open and End to bookmark the main set but Head On The Door was the dominant LP played.
No complaints from me either way. I didnt want to fuck this recording up in anyway so I did
dial the levels down a little, and with it being a Saturday night London audience there
were the expected, by me at least, the groups of chatters. Some of this can be picked up
between some tracks and during some of the quieter parts. I dont think it detracts from the
recording too much, although I could have throttled the couple woahing between encore 3 tracks.
All three shows deserve to be played loud.....
