Об исполнителе:
Официальный сайт: http://terrybrooksandstrange.com/This heavy Florida-based seventies psychedelic rock outfit is worthy of investigation. All of the material is written (or in one case co-written), arranged, directed and produced by Terry Brooks, and pretty mindblowing some of it is too.
The stand out track on the first album is Ruler Of The Universe, which is full of psychedelic guitar and sound effects. The Kiss Of A Butterfly is full of fuzz guitar and Lost is more laid back in style.
On Raw Power, Fields And Fields Of People and Love Me are quite strong vocal numbers, Are You My Friend? and To The Far Side Of Time are space rock and the title track, a powerful psychedelic haze. The whole of Side Two is taken up by the 19 minute long Life Jam, which sounds largely improvised and not wholly successful.
The first albums are only recommended to connoisseurs of space rock and psychedelic freakouts, but the third is really psychedelic hard rock and Bottom Line, Woman and Mister Strange are all strong songs. This album should have a much wider appeal.
