Свой следующий альбом E.V.O.L. (1986) Sonic Youth выпустили также на SST Records. Именно приход Шелли, по мнению многих критиков, предопределил успех пластинки, в которой, наряду со сверхдинамичными вещами («Expressway to Yr. Skull», известной также под двумя альтернативными заголовками: «Madonna, Sean And Me» и «The Cruxifiction Of Sean Penn».) наметились и поп-мотивы («Star Power», «Bubblegum» кавер Кима Фоули). Zerostat 3 anti-static gun.
MusicHall MMF-5 turntable with Goldring 1012GX cartridge and Ringmat 330 XLR mat.
Stylus weighted with Shure Stylus Force Gauge SFG-2. Dust cover removed for recording.
No receiver used in the process.
MMF-5 -> MMF Speed Box -> Pro-ject Phono Box II -> DIY gain attenuator box ->
-> M-Audio 2496 Audiophile Card -> Captured with Ableton LiveLite 4 @ 24bit, 96 kHz ->
-> Audacity 1.2.6 used to split, name tracks and remove DC Offset ->
-> ClickRepair v. 2.0.1 -> FLAC Frontend v. 1.7.1 Level 8 encoding
NOTES: I used DeClick at 15% BUT automatic was turned off.
I manually removed all clicks in the tracks and repaired wave forms where needed in 1:1 view.
