Доп. информация
Вот что пишет об этом сам AudioPhil:
This new release is one from the category „Best Sounding Sources“. What does it mean?
It means, that in my collection of thousands Lp’s, I do have some classical albums, which are represented by different pressings (usually in near mint condition) from all over the world.
Usually it is original first pressings plus a number of reissues! Hitherto I did not bother to compare them in details, but now as our digitalization process went on the track, the question comes, what
source deserves to be digitalized after all? I was told by my dear friend Shurup, that the common legend of the rutracker is that only first pressings, especially originals from UK or USA are best sound examples.
I do not share this point of view, because i do have the possibility to compare them! It is seldom the case, that originals are better!!! Many reissues do sound much more better then originals. The are reasons for this, but i do not want to list them here and now,
it does not matter finally. The point is to find out through some blind tests, what pressing sounds the best! So you have here the fine example of our work. We tested the results by ourselves and then gave it for tests to other persons. The result was always the same!So we decided to publish
the winner after all. It does not mean, you should or you will like it!! You will have your opinion after listening. We just hope you will like it, but critics are also appreciated. If you like it or not, please tell us why!We did not compare our release with the others on the tracker, so you can do it by yourself
if you want .Again, we have compared the different pressings only within the same analogue/digital enviroment. The compared pressings are:
Led Zeppelin (4) Original USA first pressing (Peco Duck matrix, radiostation copy) SD 7208
Led Zeppelin (4) USA first reissue or second pressing from 1971 SD 19129 (one side peco duck matrix)
Led Zeppelin (4) Israel first press (Peco Duck matrix) SD 7208
Led Zeppelin (4) Israel reissue (also Peco Duck) BAN 50008
Led Zeppelin (4) Japan P-10125A
Led Zeppelin (4) German first press ATL 50 008
Led Zeppelin (4) UK reissue from Kinney Music 1977 K 50008
And the winner is „UK reissue from Kinney Music 1977“. Enjoy the music!!
