UFO's Strangers in the Night is such a monumental live recording, that I will continue to purchase any version of the ass kickin' concert recording that is offered. Originally released in January of 1979, packaged in a Hipgnosis designed gatefold sleeve, from the era when live recordings were a staple.
Strangers in the Night stands above the competition, which includes Thin Lizzy's legendary Live and Dangerous, AC/DC's viscious If You Want Blood You've Got It, Judas Priest's stealth Unleashed in the East, and KISS' Detroit blowout Alive!.
The energetic live album marked the last UFO recording with unstable guitar legend Michael Schenker in the ranks for many years. For those that never witnessed the classic UFO lineup at their height during the dazed 'n' confused '70s, the stealth Strangers in the Night album is mandatory listening.
