Five of the eleven compositions are originals of the musicians, the others are standards. As announced in the title of the disc, there is no rocking dance music here but sophisticated interpretations of great intense. Jazz for listening carefully to the skilful interplay, most time slow but not relaxed, rather gripping, with thrilling solos.
The sound is perfect, rich of colour, very good soundstage and imaging, air for the instruments to breath, very dynamic, brilliant. Even the slightest tonal nuance is audible.
