This is music which crosses boundaries far beyond stylistic categories and popular stereotypes - dynamic soundtrips, born out of silence, and woven from layers and loops of virtuoso steel string guitar.
During the first sounds it becomes clear - this music is different. This is music which crosses boundaries far beyond stylistic categories and popular stereotypes - dynamic soundtrips, born out of silence. Rhythmic energy, explosive dynamics, percussive attacks, spheric soundscapes and long melodic lines are striking characteristics of a highly individual musical cosmos which is highly evocative and mesmerizing.
Axel Schultheiss found his own musical language, in which content and expression are the most important ingredients, despite all of his virtuosity. He takes the listener into a different world - fascinating and full of magic moments. The press attests him to have "the courage to go his own way" and speaks of "hypnotic swirls of sound", "whirring sound spaces","magic moments" and of "breaking up technical boundaries".
