Ron Carter has supported the foundation of Miles Davis Quintet and has greatly influenced the jazz bass scene since the 1960s. In this 1976 work, he made full use of three types of bass, acoustic bass, electric bass, and piccolo bass, and he has been very active not only in backing but also in solo. A masterpiece of the base album, where his bassist and soloist appeal was 100% demonstrated. The piccolo bass solo, which plays like a horn instrument, is amazing.
