Originally named Deceiver, then changed it to Believer, after the Ozzy Osbourne song.

Although the band never officially broke up, they were inactive after the release of Dimensions. Kurt Bachman completed his PhD in molecular medicine and started his own lab, specializing in cancer research. Joey Daub joined Fountain of Tears. The two of them started playing together again in 2005
