The Seven Mile Journey，一支来自丹麦的后摇乐队，虽然专辑封面每次都偷工减料，但是音乐创作上却一点儿都不含糊。2006年2月6日推出首张正式专辑The Journey Studies。在此期间的7年中，乐队发行EP、单曲数张，成员由最初的4名增加到现在的5名，The Seven Mile Journey是那种所谓的最传统意义上的Post-rock乐队。这张The Journey Studies，可谓是7年磨一剑，听不到丝毫debut的生涩之处——如果所有乐队在决定发行自己的首张正式专辑时都能像The Seven Mile Journey这般审慎，那今天的唱片界必然会少了很多鱼龙混杂的垃圾作品。这是一张标准的Post-rock专辑，由4首作品组成，4首诗篇般宏大而结构严谨完整的作品，有着明显的slow-quick和slow-quick-slow两种布局。我个人更偏好前者。这种渐进高潮的结构是Post- rock很常见的一种模式，就好象是坐过山车，刚开始慢悠悠的铺垫，然后逐渐稳步加速，当速度达到最大值情绪临界最高潮时戛然而止，你一下子被吊在了最高点静止下来，之后的冷却就完全是你自行解决的事了，特别过瘾。
