简介——
犹大圣徒（Judas Priest）是一个重金属乐队，在1968年成立于英国中部的西北方，靠近伯明翰市的地方。他们曾被誉为"重金属历史上最伟大的乐队"。乐队是5人阵容––拥有开创性的双吉他K.K.Dowing和Glenn Tipton，贝司手Ian Hill，最伟大的（没有之一）重金属主唱Rob Halford和数不清的鼓手。Judas Priest的双吉他是开创性的，在他们之前从没有哪支重金属乐队能把双吉他运用得如此丰富，甚至之后也很少有人能做的像K.K.Dowing和Glenn Tipton那样出色。Judas Priest作为第2代重金属的代表乐队，是从重金属最低迷的时期开始其传奇经历的。不敢说他们对重金属的承上启下起了多么决定性的作用，但是作为NWOBHM原型乐队，和Motorhead、BUDGIE一起引领了伟大的英国新浪潮重金属运动，对重金属的发展作出了巨大贡献。他们被认为对许多重金属乐手以及乐队具有影响力。在重金属乐队中他们受欢迎的程度以及地位使得他们获得了"金属上帝"的称号。至今为止在全世界的专辑销售量已超过三千五百万张。
