Combined three Bernstein albums recorded on the old EMI label in 1976 into two. Reproduce the heat performance with high sound quality!
Planning board 25 years after his death. Combined all three albums (except for accompaniment) that Bernstein left on the French National Orchestra and the former EMI label in 1976. We aimed to reproduce the sound quality that would lead to a re-evaluation of this board. Along with Berlioz's two songs, Millau's work is a sound source that has been evaluated as a hidden masterpiece. For this reprint, a new mastering was performed separately for the SACD layer and the CD layer using a master that was digitized at 96 kHz / 24 bit from the master tape in Japan. It is a permanent storage board. Since retiring as the music director of the New York Philharmonic, Bernstein entered Europe in the 1970s and conducted many orchestras. He recorded on many famous orchestras and the DG label, including the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw tube, but on the former EMI label he produced three albums in 1976, except for a co-star with Rostropovich. Was just I do not know how these recordings were realized, but it seems that Bernstein was a conscious project because they were all countries that conducted the French National Administration. You. Millau's "From Brazil's Nostalgia" and "Cow on the Roof" are the only recordings, but the other songs are older recordings. However, with this reprint, the clearness and sound separation have improved, so that we can now see the world of Berlioz, which Bernstein wanted to express as a whole, instead of the vague impression so far. The recording year is close to Rostropovich's Sheherazade and others (TDSA13) released at the same time this time, and the recording location and engineer are the same, but the recording method is completely different. The Bernstein version has a recording that incorporates the lingering sound in the direction of putting it together as a whole.
