Pierre Boulez conducts The Cleveland Orchestra on this audiophile recording of Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps. He also leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in their performance of L'Oiseau de Feu.
4D Audio Recording:
The development of digital technology revolutionized the record industry. The medium of the compact disc made it possible to achieve brilliant sound without the surface noise associated with older recordings. Deutsche Grammophon was the first to enter the market, when Herbert von Karajan recorded Richard Strauss's "Eine Alpensinfonie" with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1981 - the first classical work to find its way on to compact disc.
The next great leap forward in the history of recording technology was the introduction of digital recording, which helped to establish the compact disc as the leading sound storage medium. Deutsche Grammophon refined this technology with its state-of-the-art 4D Audio Recording system. At the same time, high-tech developments such as 24-bit Surround Technology and Original-Image Bit-Processing are invariably placed in the service of the music and musicians.
Classical masterpiece collection:
The reissue of classical music masterpieces by ESOTERIC has attracted a lot of attention, both for its uncompromising commitment to recreating the original master sound, and for using hybrid Super Audio CD (SACD) technology to improve sound quality. This series marks the first hybrid SACD release of historical recording selections that have been mainstays of the catalog since their initial release.
These new audio versions feature ESOTERIC’s proprietary re-mastering process to achieve the highest level of sound quality.
ESOTERIC equipment used for re-mastering:
The crieterion of re-mastering is to faithfully capture the quality of the original master. Esoteric's flag ship D/A/ converters, model D-o1VU, Rubidium master clock generator model G-0Rb and Esoteric Mexcel interconnect cables and power cords were all used for this re-mastering session. This combination of highly advanced technology greatly contributed to capturing the high quality sound of the original master.
