I have never been much of a classical music fan (on recorded music anyway) but hearing this Fone recording it actually makes sense for the 1st time! Listening to the SACD layer the music has striking 3-dimentional naturality but more importantly, PASSION! I have never felt that classical music had passion in a CD recording, & I always felt vinyl had too low SNR for classical music. The difference between the SACD & CD layer is quite obvious, & not subtle like on some discs. Listening to the CD layer (which is very good for a CD) results in a massive loss of coherence & passion – just the reason I never enjoyed classical on CD.
I will certainly be getting more classical music on SACD.

This track failed in conversion to flac process & the log does not indicate why, so it’s difficult to know what to do about it.
I guess I could do the whole conversion process again, from scratch, but it was a little problematical & rather time consuming, so as this is only 1 missing track, I’m letting it go like this.
I suspect it might have been the unusual characters in the track’s name, as in the ‘SACD_info.txt’ file it is like this:
Title[12]: Johannes Brahms: SCHERZO FOR «SONATA F.A.E.»
In the end I made a quick conversion of track 13 (.dff to .flac) in foobar & offer it in the FF folder. The .dff version is there too, if anyone wants to make their own conversion of it. I added it to the torrent version, so please be aware this track might possibly be slightly different to the others, but you have the option to get the .dff from FF and do you own thing with it.
BTW
This does not effect the iso whatsoever.
