Aural Method is the solo post-rock project of Houston-based musician Matthew "Frodo" Kidd.
Matt Kidd is a guitarist/engineer/artist based out of Houston, Tx. Matthew "Frodo" Kidd is a musician-for-hire based out of the Houston area in which he resides. He also creates his own instrumental music as an independent artist and has worked on a few scores for film/video. His for-hire work has taken him to countless venues around the US and a few outside of it. He records with different artists regularly at Red Tree Recording Studio in Magnolia, TX but often visits other studios for sessions work. In early 2012, He joined up with Singer-songwriter Ben Rector opening for NEEDTOBREATHE on their 50 city "Reckoning Tour". This venture allowed him the honor of playing at some of the most revered and historic venues in the states on all four coasts. In fall of 2013 Matt joined Ben Rector for a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Though his first instrument is the guitar, he also plays the Bass, Banjo, Ukulele and some piano/keys. in early 2015 Matt signed on with the UK based indie band "A Silent Film" to do a few shows throughout the summer. Later in 2015 he will be releasing some instrumental/experimental music under the name "Slow Meadow" via the ambient group, Hammock's new record label.

"A single release from Aural Method (Matt Kidd). I recorded this all at home "in the box" except the snare and tambourine. Those were done at a rehearsal studio with a 421 and mbox2.
I used an api 512c and mbox2 for the guitar and bass. The bass was just direct in. I used my pedalboard and a vox headphone amp for the guitar tones (YES! A HEADPHONE AMP :))
Pianos were done in Logic 9
