Об исполнителе (группе)
Who ever said rock n' roll is dead? Pylo are the British guitar band set to bring balance to the airwaves with their brave, bright and beautiful amalgamation of everything that is great about real contemporary music.
Since forming in the spring of 2012, these five young friends from Bath have enjoyed a swift assent to prominence within the music industry, whilst commendably insisting on doing things their way. Intelligent and uncompromising, Pylo are born of a mutual desire to make compelling and original music that has fifty years of great British rock n' roll in its DNA.
Pylo's epic debut single ‘Enemies', recently blindsided the media. Seemingly out of nowhere, the simple but beautiful homemade video amassing over 100,000 views since it's posting less than two months ago, resulting in early support from Rod da Bank on BBC R1, an XFM Record of the Week and numerous supporters across BBC 6music and even BBC Radio 2.
The stunning, spacious melancholy of sophomore single ‘View' opens the band's debut EP, Bellavue, with an exciting touch of Radiohead at their finest. Guitarist James Scott admits "Bellavue is not an actual word, but to us it simply means ‘A Beautiful View'. We wrote these songs in a rural rehearsal space in the rolling Somerset hills back home." Thus it comes as no surprise that Pylo's reverberant shoegazey guitars and Matt Aldus' heart wrenching vocals wash over the listener like the setting sun over a stunning great British vista. This is no more evident than on ‘Crying On Land' where Somerset's undulating farmland gives Scandi-rock's fjords a run for their hard earned Kronas. Closer ‘Bare Eyed' is a prime example of Pylo's enigmatic ability to give hope through catchy, elevating tunes that evoke the undeniable songmanship of Kings Of Leon as much as the uninhibited inventiveness of Explosions In The Sky.
These early twenty-somethings' assured live set is converting new fans with every show. Pylo have a battered sea chest full of stadium filling, climactic and clever rock n' roll fit for the iPod generation and the vinyl junky alike and Bellavue EP is just the beginning...
