Since the band's inception 25 years ago, Aka Moon's journey has been punctuated by a myriad of unparalleled musical encounters. After their initiatory trip to the Pygmies Aka in 1992, an unfulfilled desire has always nourished the research of the three accomplices: the desire to share the knowledge, experience and secrets of other musicians from all walks of life. Today, the need for the original trio is expressed again in NOW with an exceptional quality of play acquired and refined over many concerts. Because if Aka Moon is undeniably born with a unique sound, the band has always made it evolve, including absorbing rhythmic juices from the East, Africa or India. The foolproof friendship that binds these three musicians resonates with an artistic urgency driven by the joy of improvisation, the lightness of interpretation and a great depth of expression. NOW confirms this cohesion thanks to a permanent counterpoint in which three mysteriously complementary worlds intertwine, revealing their own originalities and styles. The titles of the compositions (Nomadism, The Visitor, Spiritual Exile …) evoke the themes of travel and the fascination of elsewhere, but also an artistic and human commitment always placed in the foreground.
