AWARDS - Special diploma at the "Henryk Wieniawski International Competition" in Poznan, 1967; Diploma at the "Jaques Thibault Competition" in Paris, 1969; First prize at the Competition of Yugoslav violinists in Zagreb, 1969; Special prize at the "Carl Flesh Competition" in London, 1970; International prize at the competition held under the auspices of the Budapest Television, 1971; First prize at the "Sabre Marroquin Competition" in Mexico, 1971; Second prize at the International Competition of Jeunesses Musicales in Belgrade, 1971; The "Ivo Tijardovic Award" for numerous interpretations of the highest quality, Zagreb, 1977; First prize of the Union of Yugoslav Composers, 1971; Awards for the best interpretations of the year, Belgrade, 1977, 1978, 1979.

There followed lessons with Zoltan Kocsis at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, and with Sandor Falvai at the Pecs International Music Camp. Nada Kolundzija concentrated almost exclusively on 20th century piano music. She gives recitals of works by Bartok, Schoenberg, Webern, Messiaen, Boulez, Cage and other major composer's of our time, receiving critical acclaim both in Yugoslavia and abroad (West Germany, Italy, Holland). She is the holder of important awards: a Third prize at the International Arnold Schoenberg Piano Competition in Rotterdam, 1979; a Diploma at the International Competition for Interpretation of Contemporary Music organized by the Gaudeamus Foundation, Rotterdam, 1981; an Award for the most outstanding artistic achievement of the year in Belgrade, 1979 and the award of the Yugoslav Youth Federation for Performing Artists, Zagreb, 1980.
