Peter Kater是著名的配乐音乐大师，作曲家和钢琴家，在电视、电影、戏剧以及音乐唱片等领域都取得卓越的成绩。


Peter Kater出生在德国，在他四岁时从慕尼黑搬迁到新泽西州，并在那里开始学习钢琴，三年后学习古典音乐和摇滚乐。十八岁时迁到Boulder.并在那成立了earthsea音乐工作室，1983年起Peter Kater开始出唱片。


他的作品超过70部电视与电影原声带，也包含了11部在百老汇或是其他剧院的演奏，至今已发行了三十多张专辑，多次获得格莱美提名，在2003~2010年获得6次格莱美「最佳新世纪音乐大奖」提名，并且许多专辑都获得白金级销售。
