《月光男孩》是巴里·杰金斯执导的一部剧情影片，由马赫沙拉·阿里、娜奥米·哈里斯、安德烈·霍兰德等主演。讲述了一位黑人同性恋者从童年到成年的经历的故事。

Chiron在八九岁的时候就显得跟周围的小伙伴们很不一样，也不知道为什么会这样。当地一个毒品贩子胡安（马赫沙拉·阿里 ，（卢克·凯奇饰）和他的女朋友特丽莎（加奈儿·梦奈饰）把Chiron当成朋友来对待，Chiron开始从他们身上感受到父母般的爱，而他的母亲宝拉（娜奥米·哈里斯饰）由于身陷毒瘾无法自拔，反而没能给予他足够的关爱和鼓励。

当Chiron进入青春期之后，他和另一个男孩凯文发展出了一段情感关系，他俩都想方设法，不愿让学校里的混混头子知道他们的性取向，而正是这段经历让Chiron开始意识到自己是个同性恋者。几年之后，两人都长大成人了，凯文（安德烈·霍兰德 饰）忽然给Chiron打电话，要他来找自己，希望可以有一个了结，而由于成长条件所限，Chiron在当时那个不接受同性恋者的文化环境下依然无法接受自己，还在不断挣扎。
